Are You Giving Away the Tootsies for Free?

I learned a disturbing piece of information today that I need to share with you. Apparently every time we wear sandals in public, we’re leaving money on the table. Our feet are valuable assets that people will pay good money to see.

I learned this in an article called “How to sell feet pics: Breaking down the side hustle helping Gen Zers pay their rent.” Yes, apparently the kids are making bank selling photos of their hooves, which has me thinking, Would someone pay to see my feet?

Thought you were going to get them for free? Think again!

The article lists three websites used to sell your feet pics safely. Intrigued, I decided to check them out and found thousands of pretty young feet, a few thirty-something feet, but 50-year-old feet? HARDLY ANY.

I wouldn’t say my feet are particularly attractive. They’re cute and tiny, which might actually work against me because one website pays extra for large feet (sized 10-15, in case you’re interested). But something I do have that I didn’t see a lot of are bunions. They’re not large, but they are there. Does this make my feet rarer and more valuable? Or are bunions simply a sign of old feet, and do people not like old feet? Do I now have to worry about my feet giving away my age in addition to my face? Maybe I can make enough money selling photos of my bunions to pay for bunion surgery.

(In addition to bunions, I also have a shrunken pinky toe with a microscopic nail that sometimes disappears under its neighbor. How does this impact the value of my feet?!)
