Happy Thursday, everyone! It’s been a minute!

Back to School, But for Adults

Jen and I have been running around like lunatics lately, just like you probably have. It's back-to-school season, which means nothing to us because we don’t have kids. But businesses follow it too. No more leaving early for drinks, no more summer Fridays. It’s like a universal "fun’s over, time to act like an adult again" mandate. Jen’s got deadlines (so many chapters, so little time), and I have the important task of watching TV. (For work, I swear.)

LA Heatwave

I’m not sure if you heard, but LA had a heatwave. This place was hotter than a hot tub last week — over 100 degrees every day — and I live in a 100-year-old house without air conditioning. I have one of those rolly units (technical term) in the dining room/living room, but the coolest I could get this place was 80 degrees. Not fun for a menopausal woman.

That said, the heatwave finally broke this week, and to celebrate, we had an earthquake this morning!

Now let’s talk about something that really matters: TV.
