I feel like I won the lottery today because not only did I win the chicken contest (bow down, poultry peasants), but Sam showed up with my new car and I wasn’t scammed!
PINCH ME, SOMEONE. IS THIS REAL LIFE?!
First, I want to give a shout out to my fellow chicken contest contestants. Joanna came in a close second, with Jen just one point behind her in third. Lisa came in fourth, believe it or not, with a chicken she didn’t even cook. (Love you Lisa, but Alyson and her orange juice chicken were robbed here.) And tied for fifth place was Alyson and Gina. Ladies, thank you for your enthusiasm and contribution to our contest. And thank you to everyone who voted!
Now on to more pressing matters! Last Wednesday, I told you I was worried that I might be getting scammed while trying to lease a car. I used a website called Leasehackr and got connected with a broker named Sam. The deal was so good and the process was so easy that it didn’t feel real. More on that here:
On Thursday I woke up, did a little work, and then the house almost caught on fire! I live in a charming Craftsman house that’s over 100 years old. It’s a fourplex, so I have neighbors. Anyway, I was getting ready to hop in the shower when I heard a loud buzzing noise. Upon further inspection, I realized it was my fuse box and the pipe that brings electricity into the house.
