I have an appointment with a new psychiatrist today because my old one stopped taking my insurance after 10 years.

It’s always hard changing doctors. You have to go to the insurance website, look at the list of providers and just pick one based on their name. Then, when you start Googling them, all the ones you picked get knocked off the list one by one because of bad reviews.

After searching for a new doctor for what seemed like forever, I finally found one with good reviews that seemed normal. I called his practice to make an appointment and was told that he didn’t take my insurance, but his partner did. “He speaks fluent Korean and specializes in Korean patients.”

“That’s perfect!” I said. I was so sick of calling around.
