From what we read to what we ate, September was packed with exciting things like Pop-Tart cookies, blow dryers, and red staplers. Here’s a quick look at how it all went down!
What We’re Reading
Jen: This month I read No One Will Miss Her by Kat Rosenfield, which was satisfyingly twisty, and I’m currently into The Fever by Megan Abbott, whom I adore. I’ll go in a completely different genre for my next book, so I’ve downloaded Columbine by Dave Cullen, A Nightmare of a Trip by Maureen Kilmer, Tehrangeles by Porochista Khapour, and Wanderers by Chuck Wendig. Which will I pick? It will depend on how the Ambien is hitting me when I finish my current read. (More on that shortly.)
Karyn: The cover of Tehrangeles is so great! I read Margot’s Got Money Troubles this month as per Jen’s recommendation last month — and loved it! I can’t wait to start my Feet OnlyFans. Here’s a sneak peek.
I also just downloaded Jen’s new book, The Anti-Heroes, and I can’t wait to start. I know this is our September roundup, and her book technically came out on October 1st, but we don’t have to follow the rules here if we don’t want to.
