Okay, who’s ready for episode three of The Baldwins?

I am! (Karyn here.) We might be the only two people watching this.

That was a rhetorical question because we’re continuing to plow through, regardless. This one was painful, FYI. And not fun-painful, like delightfully annoying.

When we last touched base with Alec and Hillary from WESTON (a fancy Boston suburb, and not even Boston proper), she was trying to decide if she should come to New Mexico with him to stand trial, or stay home with the kids and have zany times in the summer sun. (BTW, it’s Jen writing the recap, with Karyn replying in the insets.)

Again, this is what’s so disconcerting about this show. One scene it’s SILLY HANDMADE FACIALS WITH THE KIDS and the next, it’s ARE WE OFF TO PRISON FOR INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER? I wonder if they sold this show before the whole incident? Feels super, super callous if they decided to sell after the fact, except it does make some sense if Alec was trying to make sure his family was financially secure if he had to serve time. (I do wonder what Halyna’s family thinks of all of this, but it’s probably too sad to contemplate.)
