I’m on a boat! I’m on a boat! Except it’s a plane. Or as my mom said before I left, “Hope your bus ride is good!”
I’m on my way back home to Los Angeles after visiting my parents. I’m clearly not raw-dogging this flight as I am writing this from seat 10C. My visit was just under two weeks, which is a. long. time. Man, I do not miss Chicago summers. It was hot and humid and there were bugs everywhere. We even had a tornado warning one night and had to go to the basement to take cover. Not that Los Angeles doesn’t have its own weather/environmental issues to deal with…

One minute you’re alone, and the next she’s right next to you and you have no idea how she got there.
Last week I was showering in the guest bathroom, and when I finished, I opened the shower curtain to find her standing on the other side of it. She was about four inches from my face, so naturally I screamed because I thought it was about to be stabbed by a serial killer. But alas, it was just my mother.
